1000 kilometers on foot along the coast from Sagres via Lisbon to Porto Filmmakers Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg actually only wanted to walk the Rota Vicentina hiking trail, but the planned one hundred kilometers ended up being one thousand. The beautiful landscape, the unbridled nature and the roaring waves on the Portuguese coast absolutely captivated the two filmmakers. So much so that the hike has now been turned into a movie.
